At the Klamath Falls location, we meet from the rear entrance of the Klamath County Museum, 1451 Main St, Klamath Falls, OR 97601. Parking and building entrance are at the rear parking lot next to North Spring St.

For the Rogue Valley meeting, please go to the Discovery Ed location at the Old Bingo Hall building on 2100 Leigh Way, Medford, OR 97503. We are seated to the right once through the entranceway.

NOTE: Due to Discovery Ed closing their doors and moving to a new location, our Medford meeting place will soon be moving as well. The new location will be announced as soon as possible.

  • 1860's Days at the County Museum  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . February 15th, 2020

         One of the first events of the CCWS in the year occurs at the Klamath County Museum, where you can see live demonstrations of civilian crafts and displays of life

              of the soldier. Also, take a peek at our full-scale 3-inch ordinance rifle! All that and more can be found between 10 AM and 2 PM during the event hours. Fun for

              the whole family!

  • Lava Beds Living History  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CANCELED . . . . May 7th and 9th, 2020
    Join us once more in the scenic Lava Beds National Park as we help represent one part of the historic Modoc Wars which took place in 1872 and 1873, which became the most expensive conflict with Amerindians in American history! Various stations at several parts of the park help illustrate life in the frontier days of Oregon, including representatives of the CCWS reflecting the army and civilian perspectives during the conflict. We can be found at the Gillem's Camp Parking Loop, just off of the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway. The camp is open from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, and closes at 3 PM on Sunday, with a dedication ceremony at the Gillem Cemetary on Sunday prior to closing. DUE TO COVID-19, THE PARK SERVICE HAS CANCELED THIS EVENT, IT MAY REOPEN LATER IN THE YEAR.

  • RACW Montague Reenactment  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CANCELED . . . . May 15th - 17th, 2020

The RACW will be hosting an event in the town of Montague nearby to Yreka, CA, and many members of the CCWS will be joining in the fun! Various events take place throughout each day, and representatives of the local fire station, Army recruiting offices, and many craft vendors help to add to an awesome occasion! Friday will be a school day for local middle schools. Full skirmishes and battles take place each weekend day, on Saturday at 12 PM and 3 PM, and on Sunday at 11 AM and 2 PM. Entrance fees to the event are $5 per adult, and $2 per child, with children 5 yrs and under free. This event can be found near the intersection of Webb and 16th Street in Montague.

  • Heritage Days at Fort Klamath  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CANCELED . . . . May 28th - 31st, 2020

In association with the Klamath County Museums, the CCWS is proud to partake in the 2020 Heritage Days and help educate the local community on the history of Fort Klamath and the people who were part of it. The 28th and 29th are closed to the public for the purpose of the school presentations, but the 30th and 31st are open to the public as we present various stations regarding life at the Fort and for the peoples in the region in the 1800's. Donations are welcome both to the club and to the Museum but admission is free otherwise. This event is absolutely fun for the whole family to enjoy with period blacksmithing, artillery and infantry demonstrations, and much more! The park opens at 9 AM every day and closes at 5 PM on Saturday, and 3 PM on Sunday.

  • Joseph Stewart State Park Reenactment  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . CANCELED . . . . June 13th and 14th, 2020

The main event for the CCWS is the battle for Joseph Stewart State Park! With battles at 11 AM and 3 PM on Saturday, and 11 AM and 2 PM on Sunday, you have plenty of chances to witness a bygone era! The event can be found in the Day Use area on the way to the Marina, and on Saturday we will host a small presentation in the A Loop amphitheater of the Campground. The park and event overall will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, and from 9 AM to 3 PM on Sunday.

  • Hanley Farms Living History . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . July 25th and 26th, 2020

Join the CCWS and Southern Oregon Historical Society as we partake in living history demonstrations around the historic Hanley Farms! The farm, built prior to the Civil War, is an integral part of southern Oregon history. Activities and games are available throughout the event that are fun for the whole family! Tours of the house are also available at several times during the day. Southern Oregon Historical Society does charge a small admission fee and fee for the tours.

  • Fort Klamath Living History Days  . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . August 8th and 9th, 2020

Once again the CCWS invites one and all to partake in immersing oneself in the history of the Civil War during the Fort Klamath Living History Days! With the help of the Klamath County Museums, this living history event offers a full spectrum of fun for young and old as reenactors of infantry, artillery, and civilian life help to bring the Civil War to you! While donations are welcome, the park does not charge for admission. The event is open from 9 AM until 5 PM on Saturday, and closes at 3 PM on Sunday.
